The hogs that detoured into the ditch on County Road P-33 Monday morning when the driver who was hauling them struck a fuel tanker truck likely were not injured, according to information from Iowa State Patrol trooper Jacob Allspach, the investigating officer.
GreeneCountyNewsOnline readers asked how the hogs fared in the accident that closed Highway 30 for several hours while gallons of diesel fuel were allowed to burn off.
Allspach said he didn’t know how many hogs were on the trailer or if any were injured. He added that the trailer was not tipped or damaged, and said it’s a good possibility there were not many injured hogs.
